La Liga – Barcelona vs Sevilla: It was a top of the table battle in LaLiga between Sevilla and Barcelona at the Camp Nou. A win for the visitor would have put them clear of the rest of the pack only behind the league leaders and just maybe put them in the conversation for the league title. A win for the Cules, would out them level on points with both Sevilla and Atletico.
It was the latter that happened on Sunday as Barcelona registered a 1-0 win. Both teams did create serious chances but were unable to take them for much of their duel.
While the hosts managed to gain a lot of possession the visitors created a lot of counterattacks and were provided with a lot of set pieces.
However, it was Pedri who managed to break the duck by scoring in the 72nd minute at the back of Dembele’s assist after he managed to keep the ball in. The contest concluded with a scoreline of 1-0 in Barca’s favour.
This leaves the trio of FCB, Sevilla and Atleti level on points all twelve behind champions-elect Los Blancos. Blaugrana, however, have a game in hand.

“We’re competing well and getting good results, but we have not won anything yet. We have not done anything, we have to continue to work exactly the same way. We have competed against big teams like Madrid, Atletico, Villarreal, Sevilla and Napoli.
“Today’s game is like winning 6 points for us. It means a lot. As long as the math doesn’t rule it out, we’ll keep fighting for La Liga. If we cannot win La Liga, we will at least continue to put pressure on Madrid.”
