Marcelo Brozovic leaves Internazionale after more than eight years. The thirty-year-old Croat accepts a lucrative offer in Saudi Arabia: he has signed with Al-Nassr, which has finally got the hang of it after long negotiations.
Brozovic after soap to Saudi Arabia: “He only wanted to go to us”
Brozovic had been associated with Al-Nassr for weeks, but Barcelona also had the Croat in mind. Chairman Joan Laporta kept hoping for the arrival of the midfielder for a long time. Inter, meanwhile, was having difficult negotiations with Al-Nassr about the transfer fee for Brozovic. In the end, both clubs came out and on Monday Cristiano Ronaldo’s club announced the arrival of Brozovic. “Everyone wanted him, but he only wanted us,” the club wrote.
Brozović came over from Dinamo Zagreb on a rental basis in the winter of 2015. A year and a half later, Inter took over the Croat for an amount of five million euros. In recent years, Brozović has been an undisputed basic player at Inter.
The Croatian appeared in 330 official duels, and scored 31 goals and 43 assists. Striking: in those 330 matches, Brozović picked up no fewer than 89 yellow cards. Brozović is also a basic player in Croatia. Since 2014, he has played 87 international matches.
After Benzema and Kante, Al-Ittihad brings in the next player from Europe
After Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté, Jota will also continue his career at Al-Ittihad. The club from Saudi Arabia confirmed the arrival of the 24-year-old Portuguese on Monday evening. According to Scottish media, Celtic will receive just under thirty million euros for the left winger.
Many top players from Europe will find their way to Saudi Arabia this summer. Where it mainly concerns people in their thirties, top clubs from the country also want to bring in talented players. Jota is an example of this. The Portuguese scored eighteen goals and just as many assists in the Scottish Premiership in two years.
Celtic first rented Jota from Benfica for a year and then took him over for more than seven million euros. So now the Scots are making a huge profit. Al-Ittihad bought the attacker’s contract that runs until mid-2027. For example, Jota is the next player from Europe to play in the Saudi Pro League.
