Mario Balotelli has signed with Swiss Super League club Sion as a free agent. The duration of the contract is for two years.
The Italian played for Adana Demirspor last season. And scored an impressive 18 goals in 33 appearances.
He has represented several top clubs in Europe. His former employers include Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, Liverpool, Nice and Marseille. He also adds experience to the squad having earned 36 caps for Italy.
Sion announced, “FC Sion has the great honor of announcing the arrival of Mario Balotelli (32) in its ranks. The Italian striker has signed up for the Valais club for two years.
“The Italian international (36 caps, 14 goals) has an exceptional record with a Champions League, three Italian league titles, a league title and an English Cup. In 453 games in his career, he scored 193 goals and delivered 42 assists.
“FC Sion is delighted with the arrival of a world-class striker and welcomes him to Valais!”
