Serie A outfits Inter Milan and Juventus have allegedly placed Mauricio Pochettino on their shortlist of replacements.
If, at the end of the season, either team sack their respective managers, Inter Milan and Juventus view Pochettino as an appealing option, according to
Despite both sides still competing for trophies this campaign, their respective managers are nearing the close of the season under scrutiny.
Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri is on pace to lead his team to the Serie A crown. They are resting seven points clear of second-placed Atalanta with just five matches remaining.
However, Juventus hasn’t been completely convincing this season. And they have recently lost to Napoli the Coppa Italia final while trailing Lyon 1-0 into the second leg of their last-16 tie in the Champions League.
Inter boss Antonio Conte, meanwhile, came under fire after his team fell off in the Serie A championship race.
They are ranked fourth, nine points behind Juventus with a match in hand.
Inter has been defeated in the Champions League since being kicked out of the group stage but are still competing for the Europa League title.
So if either Conte or Sarri struggled to measure up to standards by the season’s end, Inter and Juve will look to former Tottenham manager Pochettino, allegedly.
After guiding Tottenham to the final of last year’s Champions League, Pochettino experienced a torrid start to the new season and was then dismissed by the club with his team remaining a lowly 14th in the PL.
Since being replaced by Jose Mourinho at Tottenham in November last year, the Argentinean has been without a job, but he has been patient when assessing his next managerial move.
