Onana clean sheet leader of the Champions League: He did not immediately gain the confidence of Internazionale, but it is now impossible to imagine Andre Onana under the crossbar. The former Ajax player played again in the Champions League on Wednesday evening and again kept a clean sheet. The Cameroonian now has a club record to his name.
Records
Against Viktoria Plzen (twice), Barcelona, FC Porto (twice), Benfica and AC Milan, Onana was not passed, never before did Inter manage to keep a clean sheet in seven matches during a European campaign. In the successful 2009/10 season, Inter came to six clean sheets with Júlio César under the crossbar.
Keeper | Club | Clean sheets |
Andrew Onana* | Internazionale | 7 |

Onana also comes to the fore in the general stats of the Champions League. The goalie had it very quiet on Wednesday evening, as AC Milan only got the ball between the posts twice. Onana stopped both bets and brought his total number of saves to 43. He also excels the competition in that area.

Star player Leão simply proves indispensable for AC Milan
Rafael Leão appears to be indispensable for AC Milan, the figures show. Rossoneri lost all games in which the Portuguese attacker was missing this season: three to be exact. This was also the case in the Champions League cracker against Internazionale, which he had to miss due to an injury.
That can safely be called striking, because if Leão is missing, Milan will lose the match. Milan trainer Stefano Pioli still had a little hope that Leão could be used, but received bad news on Wednesday. In the semi-finals of the Champions League, Pioli’s team could not make a fist against rival Inter, which has one foot in the final thanks to a 0-2 victory (goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan). That hardly seems a coincidence anymore.
Leão has already scored 12 goals and seven assists in 32 Serie A games this season. In the Champions League, the counter has so far stood at one goal. It is not clear whether Milan will have Leão again in the return against Inter, but it is hoped that Pioli will.
Incidentally, it is not the case that Leão is a guarantee for success. After all, Milan also lost with the attacker: Chelsea was too strong 3-0 and Lazio even 4-0. But without Leão it will go wrong anyway, as this season has shown. Without him, Milan lost to Fiorentina (2-1) on March 4 and to Napoli (1-2) on September 18
