Pochettino Discusses the Debut of Messi
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino has commented on Lionel Messi’s debut for the club, and in Ligue 1, yesterday.
The Argentine entered the pitch with 66 minutes into the game as he was replacing Neymar.
“He was good,” Pochettino said in the post-match interview, as per RMC Sport.
“As soon as he came on, his first touches of the ball gave the team some serenity,” he elaborated.
“Even for players like Messi it’s very important to make a good debut,” the coach went on
“He’s still far from his best form but he is training well and will be at his best after the international break,” he said, conclusively.
