It was a bad Sunday for racially abused Vinícius Júnior who was attacked for the umpteenth time in La Liga and had enough. After the duel with Valencia, he came up with a statement.
Furious Vinícius: “It seems that racism is normal in La Liga”
“It was not the first time, not the second and not the third,” the Real Madrid winger said via Instagram. The star player of Los Blancos has had enough of all the excesses of the Spanish public. “It seems that racism is normal in La Liga,” he added.
Vinicius took to the crowd in Valencia and was shown a red card after hitting an opponent in the face. That caused a lot of emotions. Justin Kluivert also stood up for him, but the arbitration was tough. “The league thinks this is normal. The union even encourages it, opponents are encouraged to make racist statements,” he commented.
‘I’m very sorry. This is the league that was in the hands of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi,” Vinicius continued. “Spain is a beautiful nation that I embrace and love, but it exports racism to the world. The competition is now in their hands.”
Vinícius was still full of frustration afterwards: “I’m sorry for those Spaniards who disagree. But today Spain is known as a country of racists. And unfortunately, because of everything that happens every week, I have no way to defend it. I agree.”
Kluivert supports Vinicius: “Apologies on behalf of all of Valencia”
Justin Kluivert is very disappointed by the events surrounding Vinícius Júnior during the duel between Valencia and Real Madrid. The winger of the home team condemned the behavior of part of their own supporters.
Vinicius was racially abused in Estadio Mestalla. The excited attacker of Real Madrid made this clear to the referee and Valencia players twenty minutes before the end of the game. Afterwards, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti strongly exposed the misconduct of Valencia supporters. Kluivert did not shy away from the subject during a short interview on the field immediately afterwards.
“This should never happen. This is just very bad,” said the 24-year-old in front of the La Liga TV camera. “On behalf of the entire club, I apologize. This has nothing to do with football at all. It’s all very much.”
Valencia has now distanced itself from racism in a statement and speaks of an incident. The club will investigate exactly what happened and has announced that it will take appropriate measures.
