Rodrigo Moreno has signed to continue his career in the oil state and completed his transfer to Al-Rayyan on Thursday evening. European top players who are going to opt for a lucrative contract nowadays for Saudi Arabia, but there is also a nice living to be earned in Qatar.

32-year-old Rodrigo comes over from Leeds United, with whom he was relegated from the Premier League last season. It was clear that the 28-time Spanish international would not play in the Championship. There were rumors of a transfer to another Premier League club, but Rodrigo has decided to move to Qatar.
Leeds United does not have much left from that transfer. A clause in his contract allowed Rodrigo to leave the Premier League for just €3.5 million after relegation. In 2020, Leeds United itself paid thirty million euros to Valencia. Rodrigo was the most expensive purchase in the club’s history at the time.
In three years, Rodrigo played 97 games for Leeds United. He was accurate 28 times. At Al-Rayyan he becomes a teammate of, among others, Sofiane Boufal, the Moroccan attacker who excelled at the last World Cup in Qatar, and Thiago Mendes. The latter is known for his time at Lille and Olympique Lyon.
Nani gets a Turkish job with Adana Demirspor
Continuing with football in Asia, Patrick Kluivert has signed Nani at Adana Demirspor. The 36-year-old attacker has signed a one-year contract with the Süper Lig club, where Kluivert recently started working as a manager.
Nani was without a club after his contract with Melbourne Victory in Australia expired. The winger has also been active for Sporting Portugal, Orlando City and Venezia in recent years. According to reports in the Turkish media, Kluivert made a case for his arrival at Adana Demirspor.
Nani was already active in the Süper Lig before. In 2015 he left Manchester United and signed with Fenerbahçe, who sold him to Valencia a year later. Nani scored twelve goals and thirteen assists in 47 official matches that season.
Now Nani returns to Turkey. The attacker will be the absolute star in Kluivert’s team, which also has Younès Belhanda and former AZ player Jonas Svensson at his disposal.
