Ryan Gravenberch is open to the prospect of a transfer away from Bavaria. The midfielder for Bayern Munich is aware that he does not desire another season like this.
Gravenberch: “Next year has to be different.”
It has been suggested that he spend the summer in Liverpool. The reports of Gravenberch leaving Bayern are met with his customary cool response. “I’ll wait,” he responds. The midfielder, however, is impatient.
“Naturally, I had to get used to this place at first. a fresh setting. Everything moves so quickly that training sessions occasionally resemble competitions. You cannot miss a second because it is the European top. But I feel like I’ve become used to it by this point,” he continued.
In Munich, Gravenberch wants to play more. “A year of top-tier practise and competition is beautiful and instructive,” says Gravenberch. “Despite being fun, it is primarily for training. That needs to change for the upcoming season because I truly want to start playing every week once more. I haven’t talked to the club management yet, so just wait and see what happens. But it is clear that this stance falls short of what I had hoped for.
Matthäus calls: “Bayern must give Gravenberch a fair chance”
Bayern received acclaim for its summer of signings last year. Numerous top athletes showed there, while Gravenberch and Mathys Tel also drew high talent. The future was promising, but today Bavaria is on high alert. Particularly now that the national title’s extension is also in jeopardy following elimination from the cup tournament and the Champions League.
Lothar Matthäus, a club legend, asks for alterations to the Bavarians’ organisational structure. If the German expert had his way, Gravenberch will soon have a chance. “The transfers, which were utilised to supplement the selection, are not given fair opportunities,” he told German Sky Sports. “I would feed the lions Gravenberch and Tel.”
The analyst suggested giving a young man like Tel a chance if there was an immediate issue. He said, “Since Robert Lewandowski’s departure, Bayern has struggled all season with the fallout because Lewandowski’s replacement Sadio Mané is not expected to play. Tel needs to play more because he has all the tools to develop into a top striker, but the lack of scoring ability is starting to show.”
Matthäus believes Gravenberch also merits a shot. The midfielder, who transferred from Ajax, is currently sitting on the substitute bench. While in southern Germany, things are anything from going well. “He could have just as well not been created. I believe they ought to have used it much more frequently. No, they need to have utilised it far more frequently,” he says.
