Nelson Semedo was not involved in training in Barcelona on Thursday, with the leaders of the Spanish League explaining his absence “as per La Liga’s protocol”.
Instead, the right-back had to practice alone after reportedly heading to party with 19 other people.
Further, Semedo will be tested for coronavirus today, according to local station Catalunya Radio.
He will only be allowed back into team training tomorrow if it tests negative, however it puts his own position against Mallorca in jeopardy for the game.
Barcelona is currently in step 2 of Spain’s de-escalation procedure, enabling for groups of up to 15 individuals to join in.
Semedo was left out of training action after reports appeared of the player claiming to be attending a birthday party and violating social distancing measures. Not only were there 20 guests there, none of them wore face masks or observed social distance.
Barcelona tweeted a picture from the team session, titling: “Training session with first team players available. Nelson Semedo did not train as per La Liga protocol.”
