Here too, Luciano Spalletti’s men found themselves behind midway through the first half once again.
Fiorentina’s Lucas Martínez Quarta’s was the first one to hit the ball into the net and secured the initial lead.
However, when Napoli won an opportunity to equalize soon after, they squashed the home side’s joy.
But Lorenzo Insigne was unable to convert the penalty because Bartłomiej Drągowski doubly saved the ball to deny the 30-year-old.
Yet, the Polish goalkeeper was unable to respond to the attempt of Hirving Lozano, just moments later. And Lozano did not hesitate in firing the equalizer.
Later on, as the second half approached, Piotr Zieliński lofted a perfectly weighted cross into the rival’s penalty area. This allowed Amir Rrahmani to run onto and glance beyond an outstretched Drągowski.
Thus did Rrahmani crush the hosts’ chances of snatching the lead again.
