Arne Slot is making a name for himself in Europe thanks to all the success of Feyenoord. The coach looks especially good in England. Several Premier League clubs would love to get the trainer.
Three Premier League clubs linked to popular Slot
Especially the way in which Feyenoord goes to war can be appreciated in England. According to The Times, the club’s dominant style of play is making a big impression in Europe. The British medium expects Slot to hear the phone ring several times in the coming months.
Tottenham Hotspur would love to bring Slot to London. The English top club has been yearning for silverware for years and thinks it has a chance of success with the Feyenoord trainer. West Ham United and Crystal Palace also want to tempt Slot for a step to the Premier League.
For Slot, however, other matters have more priority for the time being. With Feyenoord he will meet AS Roma on Thursday evening in the first leg of the diptych in the quarterfinals of the Europa League. He is also heading for the national title with the team from Rotterdam.
Slot does not yet say whether Bijlow will keep immediately upon return
Arne Slot does not seem to want to be played into the hands of Jose Mourinho. At the press conference in the run-up to Feyenoord – AS Roma, Slot did not reveal anything about the goalkeeper who had returned to the selection.
“He has been training for two weeks now and is our first goalkeeper. He will be in the selection tomorrow, but you will see tomorrow evening whether he will also play,” said Slot.
The careful handling of Bijlow cannot be seen completely separately from the performance of substitute Timon Wellenreuther. But in the end it is Bijlow’s situation that will be decisive. “If his replacement had done it dramatically we could have brought the moment forward, but Justin is our first goalkeeper. The moment we think he is himself and is ready to keep, he is our first keeper,” he said.
Apart from Quinten Timber, Slot seems to have a fit selection towards the first quarter-final in the Europa League. Alireza Jahanbakhsh has also trained and seems fit. Patrik Wålemark is not yet at the full hundred percent, but is training with the team from Rotterdam.
