Bournemouth are intent on naming Thierry Henry, the Arsenal legend, as their chairman.
The Championship club is ramping up its efforts to fill a spot vacated by Jason Tindall a fortnight ago, claim The Guardian.
Jonathan Woodgate was in interim charge of the role.
Now, Bournemouth need to talk to 43-year-old Henry about being their chairman.
The France international is head coach of the CF Montréal MLS side.
He previously managed Monaco and was on the Belgian coaching staff of Roberto Martínez.
In November 2019, Henry signed a two-year deal with Montréal.
