USA vs Wales: Wales makes its World Cup debut after a 64-year layoff. Gareth Bale knows what to expect on Monday evening due to his American journey.
Bale joined Los Angeles FC from Real Madrid last summer. With his transfer, the attacker hoped to get in shape and establish a game pace in order to excel in the World Cup. Given his fourteen visits, only two of which were as a basic force, his American experience did not bring him what he desired.
Bale, on the other hand, has a different perspective. “I am exactly where I desire to be. I’m here, and I’m ready!” exclaimed the attacker. At a press conference one day prior to the World Cup fixture against the United States. “We all worked hard to adjust to the heat and time difference. There are no more justifications.”
The skipper has an extra secret weapon for the game versus America thanks to his time in the MLS. “I played against and with some Team USA members. They have a strong young roster with some outstanding players. We are aware of their flaws, but I will not reveal them to you right now.”
Bale is aware that there is compassion in Wales. “The schools close sooner so that our games can be watched. Kids will miss school, which is beneficial for them,” he said, referring to the different school schedules for Iran-Wales on November 25. “These are historic occasions in our country’s history. We’ve all been waiting for this for a long time.”
USA vs Wales: Gareth Bale describes MLS journey
Bale was asked about his fitness level following the MLS Cup final. He hadn’t played for 90 minutes since arriving in America. “It’s been a rough mental journey leading up to the World Cup. So many people drop out or get injured and must miss the World Cup. “It has absolutely been on my mind to want to be hundred percent ready for the World Cup,” he responded.
