USMNT star Weston Mckennie hopped off the pitch during Juventus-Atalanta, a Serie A fixture on Saturday, worsening Juve’s injury crisis.
The midfielder hobbled off the field midway through the second half of the Serie A match between Juventus and Atalanta.
What precisely happened was that Juventus were trailing 0-1 to Atalanta and Weston McKennie wanted to deliver for his team.
In light of this, the Juventus midfielder embarked on a long run into the box midway through the second half.
But instead of scoring or creating a chance, the midfielder unfortunately clashed with Atalanta defender Berat Djimsiti. And he came out appearing to favour his knee.
After Juve’s medical staff immediately examined him on the pitch, McKennie hobbled off the pitch.
So, in the 64th minute, Moise Kean replaced the USMNT midfielder for Juventus.
Eventually, Juve would go on to lose 0-1 to Atalanta, dropping down to eighth place on the Serie A table.
