JM Eagle LA Championship: On two playoff holes on Sunday in Los Angeles, Hannah Green defeated Xiyu Lin and Aditi Ashok to win the inaugural JM Eagle LA Championship.
At Wilshire Country Club, Green, Lin, and Ashok completed 72 holes in nine under par. The par-three 18th hole was re-played until Green was the final woman remaining.
It was the third LPGA championship of the Australian’s career and her first since the Cambia Portland Classic in 2019.

Although I performed exceptionally well last year, Green said, “It’s been a long few years, and getting across the queue has been really difficult.”
“I really didn’t think I’d be in it with the way I was playing and making so many parts, so I’m extremely pleased with myself for sticking in there.”
Green outperformed her rivals by landing her tee shot inside six feet on the opening playoff hole. Ashok, who was the farthest from the hole, observed her birdie putt fail. Green and Lin both made reasonably straight putts to extend the playoff.
Green was on the green but further away than she had intended on her first trip, while Lin’s tee shot went wide right and fell in a bunker. After emerging from the bunker, Lin missed a long par putt, which allowed Green to win with a two-putt par.
All three players—Lin, Ashok, and Green—birdied the 18th in time to go to nine-under. To establish the clubhouse lead, Lin and Ashok concluded their rounds first. Green then made a lengthy birdie putt to tie them.
Green made 16 pars and just two birdies at holes 15 and 18, shooting a two-under 69 in her final round. Ashok and Lin both recorded 67s.
In search of her first victory in the United States was Ashok, a four-time champion on the Ladies European Tour. She needed a bogey-free hole 18 to force a playoff after bogeying the par-four 17th hole.
Ashok remarked, “I just wanted to get that shot back, especially after bogeying 17, so that kind of motivated me to birdie 18.”
“I made the identical shot in the playoffs as well, but it abruptly halted. During regulation, it pitched in the same spot and fully released.”
Ayaka Furue tied with Ruoning Yin of China for fourth place after shooting a six-under 65 to finish the day at eight-under 276.
Nelly Korda (67) shared sixth place at seven under par with South Korean Hae Ran Ryu (72) and Cheyenn Knight, who stumbled to a 73 after sleeping on the 54-hole lead.
