LIV Golf League 2023: Mito Pereira and Sebastian Munoz, players for the Presidents Cup, are the most recent PGA Tour golfers to formally confirm their switch to LIV Golf.
The South American duo, who have long been connected to the Saudi-backed circuit, joined the Torque GC team on Wednesday for the brand-new 14-tournament slate.
The 46th-ranked player in the world, Pereira, who lost a one-shot lead on the PGA Championship’s 18th hole last May, joins a team that is led by fellow Chilean Joaquin Niemann. Pereira just missed winning his first major championship.
Munoz’s previous PGA Tour appearance was at the Farmers Insurance Open last month, where he failed to make the cut. The world No. 96’s lone victory came in the 2019 Sanderson Farms Championship.
David Puig, 21, who became a pro last year and had three appearances in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series, completes the Spanish-speaking lineup for Torque.

Which teams have made changes public?
The dominant team and five-time champions in the inaugural season, Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces GC, has Talor Gooch replaced on their squad by Peter Uihlein.
Uihlein joins Patrick Reed and Pat Perez in an all-American lineup. Uihlein played for Smash GC in 2022 and had two runner-up finishes in his last three regular season starts. He also played for two other teams.
Matthew Wolff, a former 3M Open champion and 2020 US Open runner-up who hit the first hole-in-one in LIV Golf history while competing for Phil Mickelson’s HyFlyers GC last season, has taken Uihlein’s place at Smash GC.
Wolff, who is a member of the Smash GC lineup alongside Brooks Koepka, Jason Kokrak, and Chase Koepka, said: “I feel like it’s just a good fit, and I’m very eager for this year and what’s to come.”
The lineup for Majesticks GC is the same as it was in 2022, with Sam Horsfield of England joining co-captains Henrik Stenson, Ian Poulter, and Lee Westwood.
On Thursday, Cleeks GC, Crushers GC, Fireballs GC, and RangeGoats GC will reveal their squad lineups for 2023. On Friday, HyFlyers GC, Iron Heads GC, Ripper GC, and Stinger GC will follow suit.

When will there be LIV Golf competitions in 2023?
Seven different nations will host events as part of an extended calendar, according to LIV Golf’s announcement of a 14-event schedule for its 2023 league season.
The men’s majors, the Ryder Cup, and any potential conflicts with the PGA Tour’s elevated events and Rolex Series tournaments on the DP World Tour are all avoided by scheduling all 14 events within non-major tournament weeks.
The season’s first event will take place at El Camaleon in Mayakoba, Mexico, from February 24-26, while an Arizona event will take place at The Gallery Golf Club in Tucson from March 17–19.
