World No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic was tested for COVID-19 after arriving Monday in Belgrade.
While the ATP remains suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Djokovic established the Adria Tour tennis tournament to promote the sport and raise funds for those in need.
The seats were packed with no physical distance, and players were playing basketball and interacting with fans and kids last week as well.
Unsurprisingly then, the tournament’s final match was suddenly postponed on Sunday night after Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria revealed he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Croatian player Borna Coric, who had faced Dimitrov over the weekend, also revealed on Monday that he had tested COVID-19 positively. He then urged everyone in contact with him over the past few days to get tested.
So, tennis players who took part in the Adria Tour were tested in Zadar late on Sunday night.
Local media now revealed that Djokovic’s COVID-19 result was positive too.
