2023 Australian Open: In advance of the 2023 Australian Open, Novak Djokovic gave fans a sneak preview of his new “Novablast” shoe line.
The sneakers were produced with Asics, the renowned footwear brand with headquarters in Japan that the Serb teamed within 2018.
The former World No. 1 used social media to introduce his new signature tennis shoes, which came in a stunning black colour with some orange stripes to complete the style.
The sneakers, according to Djokovic, were the “lightest and springiest” ones on the market.
“The lightest bounciest shoes on the market. #ASICS #NOVABLAST @asicsrunning,” he captioned his Instagram post.

A few days ago, the 22-time Grand Slam champion unveiled a new pair of sneakers created in collaboration with Asics. Announcing that they will be available for purchase in 2023, he claimed that they had the lowest carbon footprint ever attained in footwear.
“The lightest carbon footprint ever achieved in a sneaker, coming 2023, #ASICS #LiveUplifted #Sustainability,” he wrote.
Regarding his ability to participate in the 2023 Australian Open
On Tuesday (December 27), nearly a year after being expelled, Novak Djokovic touched down in Australia. The Serb’s arrival in the nation for the Australian Open in January was officially acknowledged by officials.
The 21-time Grand Slam winner was deported from Australia in January 2022, just in time for the Australian Open, after declining to have a COVID-19 vaccination. A three-year visa ban was accompanied by deportation. The Australian government, however, overturned the embargo against him in November.
The Serb said in a press conference in Adelaide that while it’s nice to be back in a nation where he has experienced “tremendous success” in his career, he can’t foresee how the locals will feel about him playing there following the vaccination controversy.
“Coming home to Australia is wonderful. I’ve had great success in my career there, especially in Melbourne. It’s by far my best Grand Slam performance. I’m praying that everything turns out well. It is obvious that I cannot forecast (fan reaction),” he added.
However, Djokovic promised to play his best tennis and give the audience “positive emotions and feelings.”
