Following victories over home favourite Jannik Sinner and Chilean Cristian Garin, Stefanos Tsitsipas will face 2017 winner Alexander Zverev in the other semi-final.
Tsitsipas won 7-6 (7-5) 6-2, while Zverev, the world number three, advanced 7-5 6-2.

In the women’s draw, defending champion Iga Swiatek defeated 2019 US Open winner Bianca Andreescu to set up a final four meeting with third seed Aryna Sabalenka.
Swiatek won 7-6 (7-2) 6-0 to continue her winning record to 26 matches, while Sabalenka of Belarus came back from a set down to beat American Amanda Anisimova 4-6 6-3 6-2.
