LA Lakers: According to NBA reports, the LA Lakers have talked about trading Bojan Bogdanovic to the Detroit Pistons for Patrick Beverley and a protected first-round pick. The Lakers are concentrating on bolstering their shooting capabilities because it is yet another glaring flaw in their attack, which is led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Since the Utah Jazz made the decision to disassemble their squad and embark on a rebuild, Bogdanovic has been a player they have sought all summer. The Lakers contemplated providing a Beverley-style contract and a protected first in a deal for Bogdanovic, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
He did add, though, that the Pistons cherish the wing’s sharpshooting and are hesitant to trade him. Charania stated the following (through The Rally):
“Sources tell me that the Lakers and Pistons have talked about trading Patrick Beverley’s salary and a protected first-round pick for Bojan Bogdanovic.
“The Pistons highly appreciate Bojan Bogdanovic, but they have been hesitant to complete that transaction. Numerous teams have already called them.”
The Detroit Pistons’ desire to retain the former Utah Jazz forward is understandable. A career-high 21.0 points per game on 50.8% field goal shooting, including 6.0 attempts at 43.7% 3-point shooting, are being averaged by him. Bogdanovic, who stands at 6’7″, is a respectable defender “frame.
Nearly every contender in the field is looking for a player just like him. Only by increasing their offer to include young players and at least one or two unprotected firsts would interested parties, like the LA Lakers, be able to secure him.
