Ajinkya Rahane, a player for Team India, and his wife Radhika Dhopavkar have welcomed a son. On Wednesday, the former revealed the same via a social media post (October 5).

The couple’s (Ajinkya Rahane and Radhika Dhopavkar) second child is this one. In October 2019, their daughter Aarya was born. The cricketer keeps updating his official social media accounts with adorable images and videos of his daughter.
Recently, the 34-year-old was spotted competing in the 2022 Duleep Trophy. The cricketer served as the team’s captain when West Zone defeated South Zone in the championship game in Coimbatore at the month’s conclusion to win the trophy.
Rahane defeated North East Zone in the quarterfinal at Chennai by scoring an unbeaten 207 off 264 balls. He was unable to repeat his batting performance in the following games, though. The right-hander only managed 8 and 15 in the final after being disqualified for 8 and 12 against Central Zone in the semifinal.
Ajinkya Rahane received plaudits for his choice to remove teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal from the field in the championship due to the latter’s disrespectful behaviour, despite the fact that he was unable to have much of an impact with the willow. After the game, Rahane discussed the manoeuvre, saying:
“You must abide by the law and show respect for the umpires, your rivals, and the game. I have always played cricket that way, and I shall keep doing so.”
In addition, Jaiswal’s 265-run second-inning performance earned him Player of the Final honours.
Will Ajinkya Rahane be able to rejoin the Test team?
Rahane was left off the Test team for the home series against Sri Lanka earlier this year after a protracted slump with the bat.
His hamstring injury sustained while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2022 derailed his comeback plans. He consequently missed the Ranji Trophy 2022 semifinal and final games.

The Cape Town Test against South Africa in January of this year was Rahane’s final game for India. As India lost the match by seven wickets, he scored 9 and 1.
