T20 World Cup Semifinal: The T20 World Cup semi-final between India and England is on Tuesday, and India skipper Rohit Sharma suffered a serious injury to his forearm during an optional training session. A short ball flew off the length area and struck Rohit’s right forearm as he was going through his routine practice drills against the team’s throwdown expert S Raghu at the Adelaide Oval. The skipper quit the session right after because he was clearly in agony after missing a pull shot attempt.
His right arm was secured with a big ice pack. He watched the training session from a distance, sitting on an ice box, and appeared lonesome and in great pain.
He was observed conversing with mental fitness coach Paddy Upton for a sizable period of time.
Rohit continued training after applying an ice pack and taking some time to recover, but throwdown experts advised him not to go all out because he was mostly practising defensive shots to ensure that his motions were natural.
Even though the Indian medical team will evaluate him after the workout, the degree of the injury is not yet known.
On Thursday, India will play England in this city’s second semifinal, while Pakistan and New Zealand will square off in Sydney’s first semifinal.
