T20 WC: Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav, two of Team India’s top batsmen, along with seven other players, have been shortlisted for the Player of the Tournament award at the current T20 World Cup 2022, according to a statement released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday. After a crazy journey, Pakistan and England have made it to the final game, which will be held on November 13 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Nine outstanding players who all impressed and helped their teams win were chosen as the tournament’s Player of the Year.
Three players from England, two from Pakistan, one from Sri Lanka, one from Zimbabwe, and three players from England are competing for the title.
Virat Kohli was crucial to his team’s ability to advance to the semifinals. He scored 296 runs at an astonishing average of 98.66 in six games. In terms of competitive runs scored, he presently holds the lead. His runs were completed at a respectable 136.40 mph. Throughout the competition, Kohli scored four half-centuries, including a magnificent 82* against Pakistan in India’s triumph over Pakistan in Melbourne.
