NCA colleagues: In India, people of all ages recently celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, with great fervour. The Indian cricket team also celebrated Holi, and many of them upload photos of their festivities.
Yuzvendra Chahal, a spin bowler for Team India, joined his teammates at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy (NCA) to celebrate Holi. Together with Washington Sundar, Deepak Hooda, Arshdeep Singh, and Umran Malik, Chahal posted a picture on Instagram. He added the words “Happy Holi” and a heart emoji to the post’s caption.
All of the cricket players can be seen posing for photos in Chahal’s image, and it appears that they are having a great time. Another way to describe their Holi celebration at the NCA is through the colourful splashes on their faces.
Many Indian admirers wished the cricketer a very happy Holi in the comment section right after he shared the picture.
On social media, Indian athletes competing in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy also posted images and videos of their Holi celebration. Shubman Gill, the first batter for India, uploaded a video of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, other players, and the coaching staff having some colour fun on the team bus. Kohli was spotted dancing and singing along to the popular song “Calm Down” while beaming with happiness.
On Day 1, Usman Khawaja impresses
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy’s fourth and final test began on Thursday, March 9 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first on Day 1, which was unfortunate for Rohit Sharma and the company.
Day 1’s closing score for Australia was 255/4. For India, spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja each picked up one wicket, and Mohammad Shami, who was reinstated into the playing XI, took two wickets.
India defeated Australia in the first two Test matches, retaining the famous Border-Gavaskar Trophy in the process. On the other side, Australia made a remarkable comeback to overcome India in the third Test, securing their place in the June 7 World Test Championship (WTC) final. India needs to win the test in Ahmedabad to advance to the WTC championship game.
