IND vs BAN: You don’t often see teammates trading bats in sports. However, in a rare occurrence, during the first ODI against Bangladesh, Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s bat was discovered to have Suryakumar Yadav’s name on it. Since they were both players for Mumbai, the state team, the two hitters have shared many memories. The supporters wonder if Rohit used Suryakumar’s bat now that there is a sign reading “SK Yadav” beneath the willow.
Notably, Suryakumar Yadav isn’t playing in the current ODI series in Bangladesh since he was given a break to manage his workload following the New Zealand tour and the T20 World Cup 2022 campaign. The Mumbaikar, who has been in outstanding form all year, recently reached his second century in a T20I match against New Zealand.
The sponsors for Suryakumar and Rohit are different, and in the video, Rohit can be seen sporting a CEAT sticker on the bottom side of his bat. But in the fifth over of the innings, the ‘SK Yadav’ sign that was under Rohit’s bat was briefly visible on the screen and was quickly recorded.
Here is a clip of Rohit Sharma’s bat, and the bottom of the video includes Suryakumar Yadav’s name.

In the meantime, Rohit’s exciting knock featured four boundaries and a six from a bat that appeared to be in perfect control. His graceful stroke-making, however, was cut short when he was disqualified for a 31-ball 27. Following Rohit’s removal, India’s batting performance significantly declined, as they were bowled out for just 186 in 41.2 overs.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman put together a valiant tenth-wicket partnership that helped Bangladesh chase down the target with one wicket remaining. The series is on the line for the visitors in the second ODI, which is slated for December 7 at the Sher-E-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.
