Very thrilled with how he performed, but it’s crucial for him to keep playing and not become content with his accomplishments. To help us score as many runs as possible, he has done that for us in the middle overs. So, all I can do is wish him well as he continues,” Dhoni remarked during the post-game awards ceremony.
The 29-year-old has had a great tournament thus far, collecting 363 runs in the 11 innings he has played, all while maintaining a respectable average of 40.33 and a remarkable strike rate of 157.14. In the competition thus far, he has also scored three hundred, with the top total being 52 runs.
The CSK won the toss and decided to bat first against the KKR in their most recent encounter, but they were rocked within the first ten overs by some excellent spin bowling from the KKR bowlers. The hosts were 72/5 at one point, but Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja put together a key 68-run combination to guide their team to a reasonable score. However, with nine deliveries to spare and only a few early hitches, KKR was able to chase down the target since the dew did not appear later in the session.
