PSL 2023 begins on February 13 in Multan and ends on March 19 in Lahore with the championship match.
After being selected as a replacement choice by the Multan Sultans, experienced Windies all-rounder Kieron Pollard will play in the 2018 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). PSL teams were able to choose two more players for the upcoming season during the replacement draught, which was held on Wednesday, January 25.
The Multan Sultans selected Kieron Pollard at the replacement draught during a conference call even though he hasn’t played in the PSL since 2019. The teams were also permitted to nominate partial substitutes for players who weren’t available for the entire competition, in addition to the addition of two additional players.
The towering Windies all-rounder was picked up by Multan, but Haris Sohail, who has not played in an ODI since 2020, was chosen by his former team Peshawar Zalmi. Saud Shakeel, who made his national team debut last year and has since impressed in Test matches, will play for the Quetta Gladiators.
The PSL’s conflict with a number of bilateral series led to the substitute draughts being held. Due to their commitments on the international stage, a number of South African, West Indian, English, and Bangladeshi players will only be accessible for a brief amount of time.
Sam Billings of England was chosen by Lahore Qalandars to replace Rashid Khan, while Richard Gleeson was chosen by Peshawar Zalmi to replace Rovman Powell, and Gus Atkinson and Tymal Mills were chosen by Islamabad United to replace Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Alex Hales, respectively. Izharulhaq Naveed took David Miller’s position for the Multan Sultans.
Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka was chosen instead by Quetta Gladiators, and he will be available for his team’s first six games before leaving the competition on March 3. They also chose Dwaine Pretorius and Will Jacks for Jason Roy and Odean Smith for the 2018 PSL season, which starts on February 13 in Multan and ends on March 19 in Lahore with the championship match.
