Asia Cup: The BCCI is enthusiastic about sending a squad to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2023, according to sources, but the government must first approve the move.
When Pakistan is chosen to host the 2023 Asia Cup, everyone wonders if Team India would be sent by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to the competition. It is now official that the board is willing to send a squad to Pakistan for the continental competition, but the choice won’t be made until the government provides its approval. Prior to the next Annual General Meeting, the board wrote to all state associations, and it appears that visiting Pakistan is definitely an option.
In 2023, Pakistan is slated to host the 50-over Asia Cup, and India will then host the World Cup.
On October 18, the BCCI will also convene its annual general meeting.
Since Pakistan’s 2012–2013 tour of India, which included three T20Is and the same number of ODIs, the two countries have not engaged in a bilateral cricket series.
Since then, neither side has competed in a bilateral series; instead, they have only faced off at international competitions or the Asia Cup.
Under Rahul Dravid’s direction, India toured Pakistan for a bilateral series in 2005–2006. The sides played five ODIs and three Test matches during that tour. However, the final time India visited Pakistan, it was only for the Cup in 2008.
