ODI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Wednesday that legendary Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is “still not 100 percent fit” and would not play in the third One-Day International against the West Indies. The BCCI added that Jadeja, who served as vice-captain for the current three-match ODI series, will continue to keep an eye on his development.
India is looking to do a clean sweep on the West Indies after taking a 2-0 lead in the series in Port of Spain and has brought in Prasidh Krishna for Avesh Khan. “Ravindra Jadeja was not available for selection for the 3rd ODI since he is still not 100 per cent fit. The medical team will continue to monitor his progress,” the BCCI further said in its tweet.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan’s 97 runs off 99 balls helped the visitors win the first ODI by three runs. India now has the opportunity to sweep West Indies in an ODI series for the first time in their home country. India has yet to sweep the two-time ODI World Cup champions in a series of three or more games since they began playing bilateral series in the West Indies in 1983. They had previously whitewashed the West Indies in India earlier this year, but a victory in the third and final ODI on Wednesday at Queen’s Park Oval would mark their first ODI series victory in the Caribbean.
