Third ODI: In the third ODI against South Africa on Tuesday in New Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav, who had gotten back into the swing of things, let his ball do the talking. Kuldeep put on a display in the third ODI, taking 4 for, after scooping up 1 wicket apiece in the first 2 games. Before this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL), Kuldeep said he wanted to add some freshness to his bowling, and ever since, he has been thoroughly enjoying his bowling. This was spoken during the innings break.
At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Kuldeep successfully dismissed Andile Phehlukwayo, Marco Jansen, Bjorn Foruin, and Anrich Nortje in the Proteas match. The top and middle orders were rattled by two wickets each from Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, and Shahbaz Ahmed, while Kuldeep sent the bottom middle order tumbling like a house of cards. Kuldeep discussed the work he has been doing on his bowling since before the IPL 2022 during the innings break.

“Feeling thrilled to take four wickets; it’s been so long since I’ve taken four wickets. Before the IPL, I tried something new, and ever since then, I’ve been loving my bowling. I had the opportunity to bowl faster and missed the hat trick. I ought to have adjusted the angle. I thought Washington did a great job bowling.
The pitch was sticky, so I tried to bowl seam-up deliveries, vary the pace, and try to set up the batsmen. Prior to my injury, I was trying to improve my rhythm. I’m trying to improve my rhythm, not make any compromises with spin,” he remarked.
Kuldeep’s efforts, along with those of the other bowlers, helped India limit South Africa to just 99 runs. Shikhar Dhawan’s team won the third ODI by an 8-wicket margin to take the series 2-1, with Shubman Gill leading the way with a score of 49 runs for the home team.
