Aster Vranckx, the VfL Wolfsburg midfielder has joined AC Milan on loan. The Belgian will stay at the San Siro for the remainder of this season.
Both clubs have agreed upon an option to make the transfer permanent. The loan fee for the transfer is set at €2m with an option to buy for a further €12m.
The 19-year-old arrived in Wolfsburg last season after impressing with Mechelen. Over the last season the Belgian youth international has made 25 appearances for the Lower Saxony club.
Rossoneri announced, ‘AC Milan is pleased to announce that Aster Vranckx has joined the Club on loan from Vfl Wolfsburg, with an option to buy.
‘Born in Kortenberg in Belgium on 4 October 2002. Vranckx came through the youth ranks at KV Mechelen and made his debut in 2019. In total, he made 47 appearances and scored five goals for the Belgian side. In the summer of 2020, he moved to Germany, joining Wolfsburg, and scored two times in his 29 appearances there. With Belgium, he has represented the Under 15, Under 16, Under 19 and Under 21 levels, collecting four caps.’
The Wolves announced, ‘Aster Vranckx will spend the remainder of the 2022/23 season on loan at Serie A club AC Milan after VfL Wolfsburg reached an agreement with the Italian champions on a deal for the 19-year-old Belgian midfielder until 30 June 2023.
‘Vranckx arrived at VfL in summer 2021 from KV Mechelen and has so far made 25 Bundesliga appearance, scoring twice, plus a further four outings in the UEFA Champions League.’
