Arsenal still haven’t won once in the 2021-22 Premier League season, but they began their EFL Cup season in style. After the football news coming from EFL Cup’s second round round-up, Arsenal have now routed a weakened West Brom. And it was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s hat-trick that helped Arsenal win 0-6 over West Brom, in a landslide triumph.
The Gunners have had a difficult start to the Premier League season.
But Arsenal won their 2021-22 season’s first game in the EFL Cup yesterday, thanks to a hat-trick from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
So, after losing to Brentford and Chelsea in quick succession put pressure on Mikel Arteta, he finally received his reward.
The Arsenal manager fielded a strong XI at the Hawthorns whereas West Brom changed their entire lineup, to the contrary.
Aubameyang scored twice and set up a third goal for Nicolas Pepe in the first half.
He then finished his hat trick in style with a third goal. This goal in the second half makes for three goals and an assist from Aubameyang in a single match.
Eventually, goals from Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette after the break as well led Arsenal to win 0-6.

Aubameyang’s Hat-trick Helped Arsenal Win 0-6 over West Brom
West Brom had flurries early in both halves but was largely on the back foot, in defense mode.
They trailed when Bukayo Saka’s shot was spilled at Aubameyang’s feet and the latter scored a goal 17 minutes in.
Martin Odegaard then hit the post from a tight angle, but Aubameyang was there again. This time, Aubameyang scored (a brace) on the rebound from Pepe’s attempt.
When Alex Palmer blocked Aubameyang’s path to goal, he turned instead to assist Pepe.
Saka then added a popular fourth goal, getting the assist from Odegaard’s flick.
Finally, Aubameyang capped a fine individual performance with a glorious curling effort into the top-right corner.
Lastly, Arteta introduced Lacazette to get in on the act. He arrowed in a cutback from Pepe, who had earlier chipped against the crossbar.
