Beside Vinicius and goalkeeper Thibaut, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga have also contracted the virus. This has rendered all four players unavailable ahead of Madrid’s return to La Liga action against Getafe on Sunday.
This latest coronavirus outbreak in the Madrid squad comes less than two weeks after the last. This first outbreak forced six Los Blancos players into quarantine.
Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Andriy Lunin, Rodrygo, Luka Modric, and Marcelo all contracted with the virus. They all, along with assistant coach Davide Ancelotti, tested right before the Blancos’ frustrating 0-0 draw against Cadiz.

Breaking Football News – 4 More Real Madrid Players Have Coronavirus
On top of this, Real Madrid have confirmed four further positive cases among their first-team players in an official statement.
It reads: “Real Madrid CF reports that our players Courtois, Valverde, Camavinga and Vinicius Jr. have tested positive for Covid-19.”
Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti will thus have to make do without them, especially Vinicius and Courtois, at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
And as they begin a self-isolation period away from the club, Ancelotti could be facing a major selection headache ahead.
After all, Vinicius, Courtois, Valverde and Camavinga will all be unavailable for selection when Madrid take a trip to Alcoyano. Real are visiting them for a Copa del Rey round of 32 tie on January 5.
The Blancos quartet could be eligible to return in time for the Liga clash with Valencia. This is a home fixture at Santiago Bernabeu three days after the Copa one.
But these four new patients can only play if they post negative tests 24 hours before the contest.
