Chelsea are rumored to have already reached personal terms with Timo Werner after triggering the £53.8 m release clause in his RB Leipzig deal.
However, the Blues have now also set their sights on getting in young Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz, according to the Daily Mail.
Chelsea is reportedly seeking a double swoop on the Bundesliga by signing Leverkusen’s Havertz as well as Werner.
Havertz has recently become the first Bundesliga player to achieve 35 goals before the age of 21, and is also believed to be a target for Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
For the 20-year-old, who has a combined 22 goals and assists in 38 appearances this term, it is claimed that Frank Lampard’s side will have to hand over around £75 m.
