FC Nantes have secured the services of Moussa Sissoko from recently relegated Watford. The midfielder has signed a two year deal with the Canaries. The French outfit announced: “FC Nantes and Watford Football Club (England, EFL Championship). have reached an agreement for the transfer of Moussa Sissoko (32). The midfielder has signed up for two seasons in favor of the Yellow and Green. Thus linking him to the Club des Bords de l’Erdre until 2024.
“Moussa Sissoko has arrived! The French international, who played last season under the colors of Watford FC, arrived early Friday morning at La Jonelière. Accompanied by Franck Kita and coach Antoine Kombouaré. The ex-captain of the “Hornets” was warmly welcomed into the group. Before putting on the crampons for a first work session in yellow and green.
“The new midfielder is a real leader on and off the field. With a wealth of experience (nearly 200 L1 matches, nearly 300 Premier League matches, more than 50 European Cup matches), Moussa Sissoko is also a powerful and versatile asset for Antoine Kombouaré. Able to evolve as a midfielder, more defensive or even as a right piston, the first recruit of the summer will certainly be a reinforcement of weight for the Nantes workforce.”
