After being charged with two more counts of rape, defendant Benjamin Mendy is set to appear in Stockport Magistrates’ Court. As his career took a hit after this horrific football news, Benjamin Mendy is facing two further charges of rape.
Because of two additional charges of rape, Mendy will defend himself in Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, The Athletic confirmed.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced on Tuesday that police have charged Benjamin Mendy with two more offences of rape.
Cheshire police have kept the Manchester City defender in custody for some time now. This was after accusations of four charges of rape and one count of sexual assault against Mendy surfaced recently.
Cheshire Constabulary first accused Mendy in August in relation to alleged attacks that occurred between October 2020 and August 2021.
And then, the additional charges relate to alleged rapes occurred within the same time period.
In reaction, Manchester City had suspended the 27-year-old France international pending an inquiry at the time of the first charges.

Matturie’s alleged crimes, per most claims, have occurred between March and August 2021. As a result, he now faces six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
According to the CPS, they have summoned both accused to appear in Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
