Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to bring Manchester United player Alexis Sanchez over Manchester this summer.
Chilean newspaper La Cuarta (via) notes that this summer City has a transfer expenditure of €166m, and that Sanchez will just bring €19.2m back on them for a ‘fresh desire’ expected to place strain on Inter Milan.
Guardiola and City were eager to carry Sanchez to the Etihad Stadium in January 2018 when he wanted to transfer to Man Utd – but La Cuarta thought that the people were again involved.
Now, La Cuarta says that City’s Man Utd’s ‘again investigation’ of the Premier League side going back to ‘make communication’ of the leaders of the Chilean.
Sanchez joined Man Utd in an Arsenal part-exchange deal, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving the opposite. However, the striker suffered immensely at Old Trafford, managing just five goals in 45 games for the club.
In the summer, he was sent to Inter Milan on loan but was unable to completely develop himself under Antonio Conte because of injury.
Inter Milan was supposed to negotiate some form of contract this summer, whether it was a temporary agreement or a permanent contract, but now City has apparently shown surprising interest.
But Sanchez is City’s ‘true love’ and they’re preparing to figure out what they’re charging for beating Inter Milan to contract this summer.
