Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Manchester United head coach, has summed up the results of the 0-0 win over Chelsea in round 26 of the EPL.
“I think we played brilliantly in defense,” said Solskjaer to BBC.
“We wanted to win. Apart from our actions at their goal, overall we pressed well, played hard and eagerly. De Gea made a great save and we managed to finish the game without conceding a goal,” he said.
“But our quality of our ball handling let us down. In the first half it was a silly game, just bad. But then we were good at times and even created some chances, but it was not enough.”
In the first half, head referee Stuart Attwell decided not to award a penalty against the Londoners after the ball hit the hand of midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi.
“It was a penalty, 100 per cent. If it’s a natural hand position, I must be blind,” Solskjaer commented.
