Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane is almost at the doorstep of Old Trafford, per the Express. So, in today’s Manchester United transfer news, Varane has agreed personal terms with the Red Devils of the Premier League.
Hot on the heels of finally wrapping up their move for Jadon Sancho, United are planning several more lucrative transfers.
As part of their transfer plans this summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side look set on signing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
However, Los Blancos are yet to agree to the transfer fee for the France international, which will slow down any potential move.
So, the matter of Varane’s transfer fee remains a stumbling block for the Red Devils.
Among Other Manchester United Transfer News – Varane Has Agreed on Personal Terms
Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane has agreed personal terms with Manchester United, ahead of an Old Trafford move, according to reports.
Having already snapped up Jadon Sancho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also signed goalkeeper Tom Heaton. Lee Grant’s contract has also seen a year’s extension, according to fresh Manchester United news.
But as they’re targeting more reinforcements so as to win the Premier League title next time out, Varane’s also top-target.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have already lost Sergio Ramos, who is widely expected to join PSG on a free transfer.
And, now, Varane looks set to follow, with the France international eager to leave the Bernabeu for a new challenge.
United first tried to land the centre-back in 2011, when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge.
Back then, they ended up missing out on Varane though, following a late intervention from Zinedine Zidane.
But now, under Solskjaer, they’re confident of succeeding in their mission and bringing the 28-year-old to Old Trafford this summer.
Allegedly, Varane has agreed personal terms with United.
For now, seemingly, the 2018 World Cup winner poised to pocket £10million a year once the transfer officially goes through.
