Neymar and Leandro Paredes have been ruled out of Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League game against RB Leipzig in Group A. So, Neymar and Parades will miss PSG’s match with Leipzig, joining Sergio Ramos and Angel Di Maria as absentees.
Sergio Ramos, who is one of PSG’s five lucrative football transfers, has yet to make his PSG debut (football news).
And the former Real Madrid defender and captain is still out with an injury.
Meanwhile, Angel Di Maria is observing a suspension and Mauro Icardi has also missed PSG training due to personal reasons.
But now, in further bad luck, Mauricio Pochettino’s list of absent players continues to expand.
Neymar and Parades Will Miss PSG’s Match with Leipzig
The PSG coach will miss Neymar and Leandro Paredes for Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Tuesday.
Brazil’s Neymar shone on the international stage with a goal and two assists in a 4-1 win over Uruguay. But he returned to Paris from the international break with an adductor injury.
Meanwhile, due to an issue in his right quadriceps, Paredes had to quit the pitch for a substitute in the second half of Argentina’s 1-0 win over Peru and will thus be unavailable for PSG as well, against Leipzig.
“The priority is always the health of the players,” Pochettino said at the press conference. “In this case, [Neymar’s injury] is a small problem but we hope it is a matter of a few days before finding it.”
