Managers’ reaction
Peterborough’s Grant McCann: “It’s a good win against a team that’s been on a good run so we’re happy.
“But it’s three points, that’s all it is. It’s pleasing to get three goals, but we have some work to do in the league and it gives us a springboard and a bit more confidence to look forward to the upcoming games .
“We expected them them to press high and be aggressive, and I was happy with that. Kwame put Jonno up on a plate for the first and the second, he did brilliantly down the right. The third is just an excellent team goal.”
Port Vale’s Darrell Clarke: “It was a tough afternoon for us but we started the game really well, on the front foot and got in their faces. We could perhaps have created one or two better opportunities for ourselves if we had handled the last ball.
“Then we gave them a soft goal and that’s what you don’t want to do against a team of Peterborough’s caliber of players. We did but we responded, we kept going and it wasn’t for lack of effort and endeavour , I just thought Peterborough were better than us on the day.”
