Dani Carvajal, the Real Madrid right-back, had to retire early in a La Liga fixture on Sunday (football news). Real Madrid’s Carvajal sustained an injury against Valencia, and more specifically, suffered a muscle problem in the 2-1 away victory.
The Spaniard has seen a plague of injuries over the last 12 months, missing a large portion of last season.
For this same reason, due to a pre-season injury, he has had to start the current season with a delay.
And now, already, Carvajal is facing another stint on the sidelines just five games into his comeback.
Real Madrid’s Carvajal Sustained an Injury against Valencia
He played only 26 minutes in Sunday’s game before having to leave the pitch. this was on account of some calf pain that he was experienced, according to ABC.
The 29-year-old will now need to undergo more tests on this latest issue. And this could possibly result in him returning to the operation table.
This is even more unfortunate because Carvajal missed 36 of Real Madrid’s 52 matches last season due to muscle injuries.
But Los Blancos showed their faith in his ability to recover by signing him to a new four-year contract with them in the summer.
However, two more muscle injuries have emerged since then. And these have posed a major problem for Ancelotti, whose squad is particularly lacking in quality at right-back.
