Sead Hakšabanović has signed for Celtic on a permanent transfer from Rubin Kazan. The forward has signed a five year deal at Glasgow.
Hakšabanović arrived at Rubin Kazan last season from Norrköping for a club record sale. Following the temporary suspension of his contract with Rubin Kazan. He spent the second half of the season on loan at Djurgårdens IF.
Capped 18 times by Montenegro, he joins the Celts with nearly 190 league appearances and 37 goals.
The Bhoys announced: ‘Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce Sead Hakšabanović has signed a five-year deal with the champions to become the seventh signing of the summer, subject to international clearance.
‘The 23-year signs from Rubin Kazan, having spent the last few months of the 2021/22 season on loan at Swedish side Djurgardens.’
Speaking to Celtic TV on his arrival, he said: “It feels amazing. What I know about Celtic is only good things and I’m very happy to be here.
“’I heard about it around a month ago and as soon as I heard that Celtic wanted me I said to my agent that he had to make it happen because this is where I want to play.
“It’s an amazing club with good players, fans and history.
“I’ve been watching some games and I think the team play in the same style as me.”
