LIV Golf: Bahamas NASSAU – One of the top PGA Tour accounts to follow on social media is Max Homa. He turns out to be one of the most cunning, as seen by his attempt to prank the whole golf Twitterverse this year.
At the Hero World Challenge on Wednesday, a question about Homa’s feelings over the absence of rumours linking him to LIV Golf was posed.
He chuckled, “Sure, yeah, major insult. “No, I guess it would have been wonderful to be a part of it so I could live the life of, you know, you know, it felt like a reality TV series for a little while,” the speaker said.
Max Homa continued by saying that he altered his Twitter profile in an attempt to have his name associated with LIV Golf, which has lured some of the best players away from the PGA Tour with guaranteed contracts and a constrained schedule.
Homa chuckled, “Brooks [Koepka] altered his bio and everyone knew he was going [to LIV]. “Oh, I’ll join in on this and see if people take notice, but I didn’t realise that my Twitter bio doesn’t get a lot of traction.
I wished I had been caught up in the rumours so I could run with them for a little while and benefit from the [PGA Tour Player Impact Program] initiative, but I was unlucky enough not to be.
