Defender Eric Bailly is fearing being offered a new contract by Manchester United in order to sell him for a bargain in the summer, writes Sky Sports.
The club and the player are reportedly close to signing a new deal, even as the player has only 15 months left on his current deal.
But the offer of a new contract could mean that United just want to sell the player for a higher price in the summer.
Bailly has told friends that he believes coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will never put him in the starting line-up.
“Erik loves the club and the fans, his family has settled in Manchester. He would like to spend the rest of his career at Old Trafford,” said a friend of the player.
“But he feels the club is very disrespectful to him. No matter what he does, Ole will never put him in the main squad.”
