Boxing News: For the first time in his career, Adam Azim fought for ten rounds, but he ultimately defeated Santos Reyes of Nicaragua with ease.
After knocking Reyes out in the second round and dominating the match the entire time, Azim was declared the winner with a score of 100-89 for all three judges.
As a result of his style, pace, and poisonous punches in his seven straight knockout victories before this fight with Nicaragua’s Reyes, Azim has risen to popularity and become one of the most exciting prospects in UK boxing.
However, he was facing up against the first unbeaten opponent in his professional career in this fight.
“Starboy” Reyes made a low-key arrival while raising an arm. The Nicaraguan appeared to be in complete control as he bounced around in his area while being introduced. Adam Azim, in contrast, paced back and forth, eager to begin because the audience was already cheering him on.
During the opening round, Reyes made contact with Azim’s body. But at first, Azim was in charge of their separation. He allowed his opponent’s jab to miss, then he let Reyes strike at nothing before unleashing his own right to the body.
Reyes was hit with straight one-twos on his gloves twice before Azim switched his attack to the body.
While a right punch smacked against his glove, Reyes continued to maintain his guard tightly.
In the second round, Azim finally made a breakthrough. As Reyes moved forward, a right came slicing in and struck him square in the chin. Reyes was knocked over after being knocked backwards by the force of that shot.
But “Starboy,” the video game, beat the count and hung on to Azim in a grip, making it to the final buzzer.
In the subsequent round, Reyes maintained his defences and only sometimes let his guard down. In the fourth, Azim delivered a right and then a left hook to the body. He raised his fist and smacked Reyes across the midsection with his right hook. He left before hitting the man in the head.
