Boxing News: In 2023, Shakur Stevenson plans to face Vasiliy Lomachenko, then Gervonta Davis, and finish first in the pound-for-pound rankings.
One of the best fighters in America might be Stevenson. He intends to demonstrate it in 2023. He’ll advance to the lightweight class. He was the undisputed super-feather world champion, but he was unable to make weight for his last fight, which indicated that it was time to step up.

“In my opinion, that performance was greatly underappreciated. I don’t believe I was given the credit I merited. What is, is what is. I’m still at my job. I’m going to stomp on the door.”
Stevenson hasn’t even competed at lightweight, but he’s already having trouble settling on a challenger.
He remarked, “We’ve already searched for some elite men at lightweight, and they’ve already rejected me.” Guys like Isaac Cruz, who is a top guy who battled ‘Tank’ [Gervonta Davis], turned me down.
“It’s really strange that they would reject a man who has never competed at 135 pounds. We’re not falling; it is what it is.”
He believes he can set himself up for a crack at one of the major championships with just one lightweight fight.
