Cricket News: Arjun Tendulkar, the son of former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar, is now a member of the Goa team competing in the current Ranji Trophy season. The left-arm seamer made his First-class cricket debut on Tuesday against Rajasthan in the Group match, and so far, the 23-year-dream old’s game has come true.
At the Goa Cricket Association Academy, Arjun entered the batting order at number seven around the conclusion of Day One, and he currently has 112 runs on the board. Arjun had the luxury of enduring the challenging period and settling in at the crease because Suyash Prabhudessai was batting beautifully at the other end. Arjun displayed his batting prowess and blasted several boundaries in the opening session of day two.
He was really focused on his strategy and finished off the loose balls while stopping the quality deliveries. On his debut in the Ranji Trophy, the youthful player reached his first half-century, while Prabhudessai advanced to his century from the other end. Arjun played all over the field to go near the 100-run milestone as the partnership flourished.
He marked his entry into the domestic stages by finishing his century in just 178 deliveries with 12 fours and two sixes. Goa has reached 400 runs, the Rajasthan pacers are fading, and Prabhudessai is en route to a double century.
Excellent performance in the limited-overs format by Arjun Tendulkar
Arjun Tendulkar, who has notably played for Mumbai and the younger teams in past seasons, has taken 8 wickets thus far in 7 List A games. His T20 debut was in 2021, and for Mumbai and Goa combined, he took 12 wickets in nine matches at a remarkable economy rate of 6.60. He moved to Goa before the 2022 season to increase his domestic cricket opportunities, and so far, the move has been successful.
He was first selected by the Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction in 2019, and since then, although having yet to make his debut, he has been a regular member of the franchise squad.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Arjun’s feat

Would have loved had Arjun Tendulkar scored that century on debut for Mumbai like his legendary dad. Nevertheless, congratulations to him and hopefully many more memorable performances to come from his end 🙏
