The two-year-old stadium, which is owned by the Sikkim Cricket Association (SiCA), is located 40 kilometres from Gangtok, the state’s capital. Anant Datar, the manager of cricket operations for the BCCI, recently toured the stadium, its amenities, and infrastructure and expressed his admiration for the progress made. This contributed to the stadium being given the opportunity to hold its first significant match.

Nine patches total, however only three of them can be matched: SiCA Official
The Sikkim cricketers were forced to practise outside because they lacked a decent cricket field before any competition. However, now that the new stadium is functional, they may practise on their own ground before any competition.
Three of the nine patches in the centre can be utilised for the next matches, according to a Sikkim Cricket Association official speaking about the stadium’s infrastructure and dynamics. He also gave an update on the other amenities, including the two-story pavilion.
Three of the nine pitches at the centre of the field can now be used appropriately for matches. Within ten days, the two-story pavilion will be finished. The official explained that the VIPs would be seated on the upper floor while the players and officials would use the lower floor.
